INLINE AUDIO AMPLIFIER
500 watts 12v car audio amplifier with a 5a fuse rating???
I have here a mitzu mit-75r car audio amplifier. It has an inline 5a fuse and i don’t understand why the fuse rating is so low…does this mean I am not going to get 500watts peak in bridged mono mode with a 4ohm single voice coil subwoofer? I am using this car amp in my home with a tagan ITZ700 power supply rated @ 700watts and 56a on a +12v rail…i know this is over kill but i just need to know why does this amp have a 5a fuse and will i be getting the peak 500watts in bridged mode with one 4ohm svc subwoofer
Some math….
13.8 volts DC x 5 amperes = 70 watts
This isn’t even accounting for inefficiency.
