PCI 128 Driver

Windows Vista and lose of frame rate. Do you have this problem?
Ok, so I just built a computer with the following parts:
BIOSTAR NF4UAM2G Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Orleans 2.2GHz 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor
BIOSTAR V7302GT21 GeForce 7300GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16
A-DATA 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600JSRTL 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
Then installed Windows Vist Home Premium and all drivers from disks that products came with. (got a overall score 4.2)
Then I ran 3DMarkO6 got only a 1693 for score. So I installed F.E.A.R and that ran super choppy and buggy when ever something happen, but just walking around was smooth. Well trying to tweek this issue I came up empty. I then unistalled Windows Vista and went with XP Pro 64bit and did same test got a 2093 on 3DMark06 and F.E.A.R ran Awsome on highest settings.
Yep, I bought an dv9225us HP notebook that comes pre-installed with a 64 bit version of Windows Ultimate. I tried testing out 3dMark06 and Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter. Both ran very poorly, my 3d Mark scores on the first few test were going between 4 – 12fps. I ended up giving Advanced Warfighter away because performance was so bad. This shouldn’t be with a GeForce go 7600 256meg graphics card.
I’m hoping this is a driver issue, but I just installed the latest Nvidia beta driver and I didn’t see any real performance increase on the 3dMark. I will give Nvidia a little longer and try out a few more games I think before I do any whipe and redoes. After a few weeks of testing I will drop down to Vista 32 and if things still suck I will go to XP Pro 32.
I’ve also read that some of the problems might be the way Vista handles sound is causing some games to bog. Especially if you have a Creative sound card. That might be some of your problem with Fear.
