KORG M1, MIDI, Sound Blaster Live, Cakewalk, Sonic Foundry ACID Music, computer recording problems?

I am unable to record music played on an older KORG M1 keyboard into a computer using either Sonic Foundry and or Cakewalk’s recording applications. I believe that the midi cables are installed properly into the hardware device and that updated drivers have been properly installed but am not totally sure. The data below lists the applications and hardware that I am running and provides some visuals on the set up under some of the menus. If anyone can provide some assistance in helping me troubleshoot my problems, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks!

Recording Mixing Applications:
Sonic Foundry ACID Music Version 1.0c Build 107
Cakewalk Express Version 8.04

Operating System
Platform:
Microsoft Millennium Edition (ME) 4.90.300
Windows 9x
Version: 4.90.3

Windows ME is not the best for doing this, XP pro works much better, but anyway check on your input routings in the apps. that you are using, making sure that the midi Ch. is active.

Sound issues with my desktop, can someone fix it?

I have an SB Audigy 2 Audio sound card. No matter what speakers I hook up to the computer, there is a constant crackling sound. Sometimes while I play videos through the internet, the sound will stop along with the video. I think I need a new driver for it but I’m not sure. A) Does anyone have a link for the driver for this card? B) Do you have another solution to this problem that I can do on my own?

on the card there’s a serial # (usually by a barcode) It may be bold print with letter) goggle it should get a link to Creative or the manufacturer. On their cite will be a download link for the driver. If don’t work after that card went bad get new one.
